Since 2009, B&B Liquor South has proudly served the residents of South Tulsa with one of the most exceptional selections of beers, wines and spirits in the area. With our many years of experience, we havebecome synonymous with quality, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
THE HISTORY
BEHIND B&B SOUTH
Situated at the intersection of 91st and Delaware in South Tulsa, B&B Liquor South began in 1985 as a charming neighborhood liquor store called Delaware Center. Since 2009, when the store was purchased by Joe M. Bohannon and rebranded B&B Liquor South, the location has seen significant growth in both space and sales. The store expanded from 2,500 to 5,000 square feet allowing for a bigger selection of products and the annual sales grew by more than 50%. This transformation has been accompanied by interior upgrades, creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers, all while maintaining competitive prices.
Over the years, our shelves have become a treasure trove of beverages, offering a great selection of spirits, wine and beer not often found in the selections of neighboring grocery stores. Additionally, we provide an impressive assortment of non-alcoholic products, including mixers, drink garnishes, and barware.
The Bohannon family’s involvement in the retail liquor market in the Tulsa area started in 1977 when Sara Bohannon purchased a small store near 51st and Memorial named Ajax Liquor Store. After 16 years of ownership, it was sold, and Sara opened a brand-new much larger retail store at 71st and Mingo called B&B Liquor Warehouse. Her husband, Joe Bohannon, entered the market with the purchase of B&B Liquor South in 2009.
